It’s been almost a year since Christina Grimmie’s tragic death but “The Voice” family continues to honour her memory in the most poignant way.
During the singing competition’s live results show, Adam Levine and his current team of members – Jesse Larson, Lilli Passero and Mark Isaiah – dedicated a moving performance of the Beatles’ “Hey Jude” to the late singer.
“God, I loved her so much. I am talking to you guys specifically, I’m talking to everybody. I miss her,” the Maroon 5 frontman addressed Grimmie’s family – parents Albert and Tina, and brother Mark – who were present among the audience.
“It is unfair she is not here. We are going to sing a little song. I am going to be singing every word to her in her honor. Thank you for being here. Christina, we love you,” he added before kicking off a rousing rendition of the Beatles’ 1968 hit.

Grimmie, a season 6 alum, was fatally shot and killed by a deranged fan named Kevin James Loibl after her concert in Orlando, Florida last June.
To quote a fan, “You can tell Adam loved her to pieces. She will always hold a special place in his big heart.” We missed you dearly, Grimmie.
