Last Saturday (15th February 2025), Mandopop icon G.E.M. (鄧紫棋) returned to the Malaysian stage, performing at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium for her “I AM GLORIA” world tour. The concert was a huge success, even making history with a new record.
After the electrifying concert, G.E.M. took to Instagram to thank her Malaysian fans for attending the show. In the same post, the singer, whose real name is Gloria Tang, also revealed that the concert made history. The concert currently holds the record for the highest attendance for a Chinese female singer’s solo concert in Malaysia. The singer-songwriter praised the crowd, commending their passion and loud cheers during the show.

The exact attendance for G.E.M.’s concert has yet to be confirmed, but it is reportedly over 60,000. When the first batch of tickets went live on 20th December 2024 (Friday), it sold out in just two hours. The concert’s organiser would later announce restricted-view tickets to accommodate the high demand. Many of her local fans were rushing to get a seat for the show as it was G.E.M.’s long-awaited return to Malaysia after six years.
Unfortunately, the weather conditions weren’t the best during the show because it rained the entire time. G.E.M. even noted the weather during the concert, saying to fans, “I have never experienced a concert that has not stop raining from the beginning until now. You have worked hard, my friends in Kuala Lumpur.” Thankfully, the rain didn’t damper the excitement and fans still had a great time with the star.

We’re sure the star and her fans had a memorable night at her concert, and we hope she’ll return to Malaysia with a new show soon. Meanwhile, G.E.M.’s “I AM GLORIA” World Tour will continue with her next show in Singapore, slated for 1st March 2025 (Saturday).
