After six years and over 100 shows, Mandopop icon Jay Chou (周杰倫) finally concluded his highly successful “Carnival” world tour. Given how long the tour has run for, it’s not surprising that there are things about it that the singer has never mentioned before.

On 11th October 2025 (Saturday), Jay Chou performed at the Shanghai Stadium for the final show of his “Carnival” world tour. The iconic tour began in 2019 and spans 110 dates across Asia, Oceania and Europe. During its six-year run, the tour was halted for two years from January 2020 to December 2022 due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Many regard the tour as Jay Chou’s biggest tour to date.

After completing the final three shows in Shanghai, effectively concluding the tour, Jay Chou took to social media to reflect on its success. In his post, the singer thanked his fans for their overwhelming support in the past few years, saying, “Thank you for singing with me for hundreds of shows over the past few years. There may be some reluctance and disappointment, but more of it is anticipation for our next reunion.”

At the same time, Jay also revealed some secrets about the tour, namely the hardships he faced. He said, “During the tour, there were actually some things I couldn’t control, like panic attacks that prevented me from going on stage, when my voice wasn’t in good condition, and when I was under a lot of pressure.” However, the 46-year-old said he persevered through his shows because he didn’t want to let down his fans who had waited patiently to see him perform.

The singer also mentioned returning to the stage soon, saying, “I don’t know if I can sing in the original key for every show on the next tour, but I know that, regardless of whether I sing in the original key or not, I will still be back on stage to continue making memories with you.” In the meantime, Jay’s agency, JVR Music, hints that the Mandopop icon will launch a new tour in 2026 to celebrate his 25th anniversary.

110 shows is definitely a feat worth celebrating, especially knowing that Malaysia is part of that figure. While Jay Chou still hasn’t officially announced a new tour, we know that fans will support it. Check out some clips from the last stop of the “Carnival World Tour”:
