Fans were overjoyed when news broke that Hong Kong superstar Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文) is returning to Malaysia for a new concert later this year, marking her long-awaited return in ten years. The concert has officially sold out, prompting a sweet gesture from the star.
As previously reported, Sammi will hold her “You & Mi” concert at Axiata Arena on 17th and 18th April 2026 (Friday and Saturday). Tickets for the two-day concert went on sale on 14th January 2026 (Wednesday) and have officially sold out. The next day, concert organiser ACO Media confirmed the news through social media, thanking the fans for the overwhelming support.
Upon hearing the good news, Sammi took to Instagram to personally thank the Malaysian fans. In her video dated 15th January 2026 (Thursday), the star said, “I’ve received the good news that the tickets for both Kuala Lumpur shows have sold out. Thank you for all the support, and your enthusiasm motivates me to present to you a great show”.
The singer then expressed her excitement for the upcoming concert, sharing what fans can look forward to. In a separate post, Sammi also mentioned that she hasn’t performed in Malaysia in ten years, so she hoped to present her best performance to fans. The star added, “In my memory, every time I go to Malaysia, I feel a special kind of warm passion, (feels) like sunshine.”
Fans have reacted to the news, congratulating Sammi on the achievement and wishing her the best for the upcoming concert. Understandably, some fans who didn’t manage to grab any tickets urged the star to consider adding another show or additional seats. However, ACO Media hasn’t announced any plans to add more dates or restricted-view tickets.
