They’ve been successful in their respective idol groups, but have been massively popular as solo artistes as well.
BIGBANG’s Seungri, Hyuna (former 4Minute), and Sunmi (former Wonder Girls) had solo albums that were well-received by fans, and now, they’ll be making their comeback. K-pop fans will be blessed with good music from July ’til August, as these idols will be releasing new music.
1. Seungri
The Great Seungsby will finally be making his comeback. After months of teasing, YG Entertainment finally revealed that the BIGBANG maknae will be dropping his album on 20th July.
Title “The Great Seungri”, the full album will feature 9 songs. Seungri wrote the lyrics for all of the tracks and had a hand in 8 out of 9 songs. iKON’s B.I and WINNER’s Mino are also featured in 2 of the tracks.
2. Hyuna
The former 4Minute member is rumoured to make her comeback in mid-August. While Cube Entertainment confirmed that she’ll be releasing an album soon, they stated that the release schedule hasn’t been finalised yet.
However, it is most likely that she will drop her album before August ends, as she is a summer favourite. This also means that her comeback will happen soon after Triple H’s promotions end.
3. Sunmi
Multiple insiders have reported that Sunmi is preparing for a September comeback. According to them, she is currently in the process of choosing her title track, and will work on the jacket photos and music filming soon. Her new song will reportedly “showcase the colour of Sunmi” and will suit the fall season.
This will be her 3rd song after releasing hit singles “Gashina” and “Heroine”.
