When it comes to G-DRAGON (지드래곤), many things come to mind, but one thing in particular is his unique fashion sense. The King of K-pop is known for pushing the boundaries of fashion, even outside of the K-pop world – but how does he feel about fans copying his style?
The “POWER” star recently appeared in an episode of “Dr Mureuppak”, hosted by Kang Hodong for Hana Bank’s YouTube channel. During the show, G-DRAGON touched on a lot of topics, including his unique fashion sense. Kang Hodong even praised the star, calling him an undisputed fashion icon. However, the host also pointed out that many fans have tried copying his style, but can’t easily pull it off. As such, the idol jokingly asked people not to copy him.
During the same episode, the singer also touched on his early days in the industry as a member of BIGBANG (빅뱅). G-DRAGON spoke about the group achieving success with his self-composed song, “Lies”, which led to BIGBANG building an image as a self-producing group and breaking the typical idol mould. However, he also lamented the criticism that he and his groupmates received in the past.
Additionally, G-DRAGON discussed his long-awaited comeback with his single “POWER” and his album “Übermensch”. At one point in the show, Kang Hodong asked the star about how he felt returning to the music scene after so many years of hiatus. G-DRAGON admitted to being unsure about the public’s reaction, but said he tried to focus on himself. Thankfully, the response has been positive, which made him proud.
