We always want to celebrate our friends’ special moments and commemorate them with plenty of photos. However, Taiwanese actress and TV host Alyssa Chia (賈靜雯) has apparently drawn flak for how unflattering she made her newly engaged friend Summer Lin (林有慧) look in her pics!
Yesterday (27th June), Taiwanese singer Jam Hsiao (萧敬腾) revealed some great news. The much-loved singer announced that he had successfully proposed to his manager Summer Lin, to the delight of his fans. But, a few weren’t too happy with the photos Alyssa later uploaded from the proposal, claiming it made Summer look bad.
Alyssa Chia, like many others, had taken to her socials after the proposal to congratulate her friends. And although she penned a touching message for Summer in light of her birthday celebration and proposal, netizens were more preoccupied with the photos she had uploaded.
Her first few photos were obviously more candid photos of Summer and caught her looking happy but not camera-ready. She did include a few photos of Summer smiling at the camera and looking fine later. But, netizens still weren’t happy with her actions.
“Are you drunk posting?” one asked. Another opined Alyssa had “no respect for the female lead (Summer) at all“. Some even suggested she repost the photos or rearrange them to put the more flattering photos first. However, there were a few who supported Alyssa’s actions. “People can (arrange) it however they want!” one protested. Another opined netizens should leave it alone as they “didn’t understand (Summer and Alyssa’s) friendship“.
Well, at the end of the day, this is definitely an issue that can only be sorted out by Summer Lin and Alyssa Chia. Regardless of the photos, we’d like to extend our congratulations to Summer and Jam and hope to hear wedding bells soon!
