An employee from UOB Malaysia Kepong has tested positive for Covid-19. Following the positive testing of this employee, the Bandar Menjalara branch has issued a statement announcing that they will be temporarily closed from 22nd September to 5th October 2020.
During this temporary shut down, the bank will conduct deep cleaning and sanitisation services. The bank has also asked employees from this branch to self-quarantine and work from home for 14 days.

The branch’s operations are scheduled to resume on 6th October (Tuesday). So what happened? According to Oriental Daily, the employee from this branch has tested positive for Covid-19 after recently travelling to Kuala Lumpur from Sabah.
While the bank is temporarily shut down, customers won’t be able to use its self-service banking facilities. Thus, the statement issued by the bank advised its customers to use online banking services or visit their nearest branches located at Kota Damansara and Damansara Uptown for the necessary over-the-counter services.
