Following the announcement of a planned rally in Kuala Lumpur from 29th – 30th August 2015, and after recent consultation with the relevant authorities and thorough consideration by the organising team, The Livescape Group has made a conscious decision to postpone Electric Run 2015.
The run, which was originally planned for 30th August, will now take place instead on 12th September at the Selangor Turf Club.
Their statement is as follows:
We understand that this decision may cause inconvenience to some runners, specifically those travelling from overseas or other states to join us. However, we hope that you would also understand that it was a decision that was not taken lightly and one that we had to make in the interest of your safety and security.
The Livescape Group takes the safety and well being of our patrons very seriously and it is a principle we will never compromise on even if it means potential financial losses from our end. For those affected by the change in date and will not be able to participate, refunds will be made available to you. Alternatively, you may also transfer your registration to a friend or family member.
A customer care team has been put together to assist you with your refunds and transfers and can be contacted at: support@livescape.asia. Refund and transfer requests must be made by 21 August 2015 and will need to be submitted alongside with your payment receipt. Refunds will take 30 days to be credited back into your accounts.
For the rest of you participants who will still be participating on 12th September, we thank you for your continuous support and we look forward to presenting you with a world-class run like no other.
The one-night-only fun night run features brightly lighted lands throughout the course as the runners make their way through the 5km course, culminating at a live music stage at the finish line.
As participants run, walk or dance through the route to the finish line, they will encounter different lands along the 5km course, each decorated brighter and with more gusto than the last. Runners will begin the race with the Stickman flagging them off to pumping music and colourful lights, stimulating their senses as they encounter various unique activations and decorations throughout the course.
All participants who have registered will still be eligible to participate in the run while the race pack collection will still proceed as planned from 22nd – 23rd August 2015 at the Bargain Corner, Rainforest at the 1Utama Shopping Mall.
