Mental health is just as important as physical health. Yet, for some reason, it continues to be widely overlooked, particularly when it comes to mental illnesses. Although it’s now easier to access diagnosis and treatment, there remains a stigma surrounding mental health. Many people still avoid the topic for fear of being perceived as unstable, or, in other words, “crazy”, by others.
Thankfully, these two got themselves checked recently, as it could help raise more awareness. Yesterday (27th October), Tomorrow X Together released the latest episode of their “NOT TO DO” YouTube series. In this episode, members Hueningkai (휴닝카이) and Taehyun (태현) visited a psychiatrist to talk more deeply about each other’s personalities, behaviours, and past traumatic experiences. Here’s what we learned about the two maknaes:
1. They both may have ADHD

It’s important to note that the visit wasn’t intended to diagnose any possible mental illnesses. However, psychiatrist Dr Kim Chong Gi did observe certain traits or symptoms that the two members might have. Hueningkai asked whether he could have ADHD, to which Dr Kim replied that there was a slight possibility and that Taehyun might have it as well. This observation was based on the results of their brain activity scans from the brainwave test they took. He then explained that the two may only have ADHD tendencies rather than the actual disorder itself.
2. Hueningkai wanted to burn the HYBE building down?

We’ve all had moments where we just want to destroy everything in our path after a stressful or embarrassing incident. Dr Kim Chong Gi asked Hueningkai to describe a traumatic experience, to which he mentioned the “Blue Hour” performance. The singer was then asked to illustrate his feelings about the outcome, and he initially drew the HYBE building on fire before changing it to the prop he wore during the show. This moment immediately went viral, with fans being amused by how honest the maknae is about his emotions.
3. Taehyun feels lonely during meal times

Just because someone is part of a group doesn’t mean they don’t feel lonely at times. TXT are known for their close friendship and how comfortable they are around one another. That said, Taehyun admitted that he does feel lonely whenever none of the members or his friends join him for meals.
He explained that while the others are on strict diets, it doesn’t mean they can’t still spend time together. Fans were originally sad after hearing the singer’s confession. However, after some exercise with Dr Kim Chong Gi, Taehyun is confident that none of his members hate him, saying that they wouldn’t have renewed their contracts if there was any conflict between them.
