There’s no doubt that Malaysians love all things Korean. From beauty products and food to fashion and entertainment, we’ll consume it all—especially when our favourite Korean stars are involved.
Earlier this month, Malaysia hosted a K-pop music festival featuring a star-studded lineup, including BIGBANG’s Taeyang and 2NE1’s Minzy. We have a few more concerts coming our way before the year ends, and it’s now confirmed that a Korean Expo will make its way to our shores very soon. Here’s what you need to know:
The Korean Brand & Entertainment Expo (KBBE) is an international event and one of the most prominent K-Lifestyle festivals, combining Hallyu, such as Korean celebrities and K-pop concerts, with the promotion of Korean consumer goods and services. The Expo aims to harmoniously integrate and develop Korea’s culture and industries, with Hallyu serving as a global driving force.
The most recent expo took place in the United States at the American Dream Mall in New Jersey, featuring appearances from actress Ha Ji-won and K-pop idols Taemin and MAMAMOO’s Hwasa, who served as the festival’s ambassadors. While it is unclear whether the same ambassadors will appear at other stops, KBBE is set to make its way to Malaysia later this year. The details are as follows:
