Malaysian singer Shila Amzah (茜拉) recently returned to the Chinese entertainment scene, participating in the singing competition “Singing With Legends (我们的歌)”. Her husband, Ubai Mz, has also been documenting her activities on the show, recently revealing one worrying moment from the filming.
In the video posted on YouTube, Ubai revealed that Shila fell during the taping of her first episode when she entered the stage. The 34-year-old was walking out of a door and onto the main stage when she suddenly fell on her back. The audience was shocked by the scene and quickly got up to check on the singer. Thankfully, Shila stood back up on her feet and continued moving towards the stage with the help of the host, Lin Hai (林海).

The show continued filming until it was time for Shila to prepare for her first performance. While backstage, the public figure admitted that she was in pain from the fall but brushed it off because she was about to perform. Being an absolute professional, the singer showed no discomfort and performed a rendition of Celine Dion’s “To Love You More”. After the performance, Shila returned to her waiting room and revealed why she fell.
Shila joked that she fell like a Shaolin because she moved her arms around to catch her fall but said she merely tripped on her feet. The singer lamented that there were too many stairs on the set, even switching to a shorter heel because she wasn’t confident about walking in high heels. However, she admitted that she’s usually clumsy, so it wasn’t surprising that she tripped.
Since Shila’s fall wasn’t in the broadcasted episode, Ubai’s video was the first time fans knew about the incident. Many voiced their concern but were relieved the singer wasn’t seriously injured. However, some said there may have been a silver lining to the fall because the star won a chance to head to the final round after just three performances.

We’re glad that Shila wasn’t affected by the fall. As Shila will be in the final round, we wish her all the luck as she continues her journey on the show.
