If you didn’t know, Hong Kong star Aaron Kwok (郭富城) recently graced the opening ceremony of the 2025 Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation at The Exchange TRX. During the event, the star premiered his newest film and shared a rare glimpse into his family life.
The Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation in Malaysia recently launched its 2025 edition at the Aurum Theatre in The Exchange TRX. Many Hong Kong stars and filmmakers graced the event, including superstar Aaron Kwok. Apart from launching the week-long event, the 60-year-old also attended post-screening talks for his new movie, “My First Of May”. In the film, the star plays a father who avoids his daughter because he is unable to accept her disability.

While he may play a distant father in the movie, Aaron said that’s far from reality. The star, who shares two daughters with his wife Moka Fang and is expecting a third child soon, said he tries his best to be present in his children’s lives. He shared, “I’m constantly learning to be a good father. I work hard and even take my daughters to see my movies. I hope that through that parent-child interaction, they can see that I’m a responsible father.”
However, Aaron quipped that his children, aged 7 and 5, are still too young to understand his work, leading to lots of curious questions. Nevertheless, the star said he’s happy to be able to foster that sort of relationship with his kids. He also spoke fondly about his soon-to-be-born third child, revealing that he will take time off from work after October to spend time with his wife and the newborn.

As for his plans until then, Aaron said he’s working on his “ICONIC” world tour. The multifaceted star will perform in Chengdu, China, in October, before moving to Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in November and to Chongqing, China, in December. Unfortunately, the singer won’t be able to hold a concert in Malaysia this year. However, he promises to meet his Malaysian fans with a show next year.
Between spending time on work and with his family, Aaron Kwok sure has a packed schedule for the rest of the year. While we won’t see him perform in Malaysia this year, let’s hope his next concert will be an exciting one. In the meantime, check out clips from his appearance at The Exchange TRX:
