There are special perks when your significant other is working with a famous Hollywood star: just ask Jay Chou (周杰倫).
His wife, Hannah Quinlivan (昆凌), has been training hard for her role in “Smart Chase: Fire & Earth”. Despite his super busy schedule, Jay has been making frequent trips to Shanghai to visit Hannah. Perhaps a fan of the Mando-pop King himself, actor Orlando Bloom couldn’t resist the opportunity to snap a selfie with the couple.
The black-and-white photo was uploaded on Orlando’s Weibo account (who knew that Katy Perry’s boyfriend had a Chinese social media account? Lol) with the caption, “Have loved working with (Hannah) and getting to know Jay, such a great couple”. The same picture was re-shared on Hannah’s Weibo who added that they “had a great time” together.
This selfie snap had, no doubt, sent fans into a frenzy upon seeing the meeting of the blonde American actor and the singer. Although Jay has acted in several Hollywood action films (including the latest “Now You See Me 2“), the 2 superstars have never crossed paths before. “I’ve actually lived long enough to see Jay Chou and Orlando Bloom in the same photo!” one fan commented.
“Smart Chase: Fire & Earth” follows a washed-up private security agent named Danny Stratton, who is given the rare opportunity to escort a valuable Chinese antique out of Shanghai, but is ambushed en route. With the safety of the woman he loves in jeopardy, Danny has to work with his team of security experts, the S.M.A.R.T., to rescue her, as a dreadful conspiracy begins to unravel.
The Shanghai-set action thriller also stars Hong Kong actor Simon Yam (任達華), Jing Tian, Wu Lei, Lynn Hung, Liu Enyou, and Yu Xing.
