The BTS (방탄소년단) craze is real! Just hours after opening the first presale for their upcoming concert in Kuala Lumpur, the group sold out on tickets, highlighting the overwhelming demand.
To recap, BTS is performing at TM Stadium Nasional (formerly Bukit Jalil National Stadium) on 12th and 13th December 2026 (Saturday and Sunday) as part of their ongoing ARIRANG World Tour. The two-day performance marks the group’s long-awaited return to Malaysia, after their last performance in 2015. Tickets for the show range from RM338 to RM1,288. The first presale, the ARMY Membership Presale, went live on 3rd June 2026 (Wednesday) at 11am.

Unsurprisingly, fans were well-equipped for the ticketing battle, with some even visiting internet cafes to ensure fast internet speed. As soon as the waiting room opened, fans rushed in to get an early spot in the queue. Shockingly, those in the waiting room revealed that over 1.3 million users were in the queue for tickets. In comparison, the waiting room for the Singapore show’s presale, which took place on the same day, was reportedly in the tens of thousands.
Hours after the presale opened, Live Nation Malaysia announced that the ARMY membership presale had sold out. Despite the presale running from 11am to 10pm, fans grabbed up all the available tickets by 3.30pm. Thankfully, there are still more opportunities for fans to grab a seat at the highly anticipated show, as the Trip.com presale and Live Nation presale continue today (4th June 2026, Thursday), before the general sale on 5th June 2026 (Friday).

It’s also worth noting that BTS’s concert tickets had made headlines long before the presale started. Previously, an influencer sparked outrage after claiming to have received “insider” tickets to the concert. Live Nation Malaysia would later address this issue, denying that such tickets exist. The company also reminded the public to only purchase tickets from authorised platforms.
With how things are looking, it wouldn’t be a surprise if BTS sold out both nights at TM National Stadium, which has a capacity of around 87,000. Fans are even asking for an extra show in advance, hoping for more chances to see the group live in Malaysia.
