If you’re anything like us, then you must’ve been desperately waiting for these food trends to arrive in Malaysia for as long as we have too. Fortunately, we finally have some options for açaí bowls!

Açaí (pronounced as assa-ee) bowls are commonly found in New York, Hawaii, Los Angeles, Australia, and Korea. It has been dubbed the “ultimate superfood” due to its array of health benefits including high level of antioxidants, amounts of iron, calcium, fibre, and vitamin A and also containing proponents that will help prevent arthritis, inflammation, obesity, erectile dysfunction, neurological diseases, and allergies.

An açaí bowl is basically a really thick smoothie topped with oatmeal or granola, nuts, chia seeds, goji berries, shredded coconut, freshly cut fruits, or peanut butter. One bowl will keep you happily full for hours and satisfy your sweet craving at the same time.

Launched on 12th January, Impressed’s açaí and smoothie bowls consists of all frozen fruits with a dash of fresh coconut water, topped with seeds and fresh fruits. No sugar, water, or ice is added so it’s pure, yummy and healthy. Even their “Choco-nana” flavour promises to be healthy despite containing peanut butter because it’s sugarless, homemade peanut butter.

Impressed currently offers the açaí bowl as well as 4 types of smoothie bowls. Their açaí bowl is priced at RM22 while all their other smoothie bowls are RM18 a pop.

But if you prefer to choose your own toppings, Impressed has a “Make your own” option too where you can design your own bowl. What? We can make our own? Well, why the heck not! This changes everything 😀

Aside from yummylicious açaí and smoothie bowls, Impressed also serves up cold-pressed juices, juice cleanses, and healthy snacks. Go get ’em already 😉

Impressed’s physical store is located at Lower Ground floor (Next to Whoosh & Castania), Nu Sentral, No.201, Jalan Tun Sambanthan, Brickfields, 50470 Kuala Lumpur.
