Privacy has always been an issue for the BTS (방탄소년단) members, who have long been victims of stalking and even home invasion. Unfortunately, lack of privacy continues to be an issue as they embark on their “ARIRANG” world tour.

Earlier this week, member V (뷔) took to fan community platform Weverse to make a heartfelt request to ARMYs. In his Weverse Moment message, the idol expressed gratitude for the fans’ support but asked them not to visit or wait outside the hotels where the group is staying amid their world tour.

V’s message reads, “I’m truly grateful that you welcome us so warmly, but I’d appreciate it if you could refrain from coming to the hotels.” The 31-year-old continues his post, saying he doesn’t want information about the group’s accommodation to be shared publicly, as fans can crowd around the area, affecting the members’ condition for their performances.

Notably, the post included a screenshot of V’s sleep activity, which shows he slept for only two hours and 27 minutes. There was also a caution sign for his sleep stability as his REM sleep was only 14 per cent, and his deep sleep was 25 per cent. It’s believed that the idol couldn’t sleep well because of the disturbance from fans visiting the group at their hotels.

It’s worth noting that BTS’ agency, BigHit Music, has repeatedly issued notices, warning fans against visiting artists’ residences and accommodation. The company also emphasised a zero-tolerance policy towards stalking and invasions of its artists’ privacy. Unfortunately, the BTS members continue to face privacy concerns.

Most recently, a Brazilian woman received a suspended prison sentence for repeatedly visiting Jungkook’s (정국) home in Seoul, even trespassing on the property on one occasion. The woman is one of a few stalkers who have visited and attempted to enter the idol’s home. This issue has sparked outrage from fans, who called for stricter measures to protect BTS’ privacy and safety.

Following V’s Weverse post, many fans have taken to social media to echo his request, urging fans to respect BTS’ privacy and space during their world tour. Some even called for local authorities to take action against anyone stalking BTS around the city or visiting their accommodations, noting that it can be considered a public nuisance.

BTS will continue their world tour up until March 2027 and will also perform in Kuala Lumpur on 12th and 13th December 2026. We hope fans can respect V’s request and refrain from following them during their free time or visiting them at their hotels.
