Another day, another major streaming milestone for BTS Jungkook!
His solo hit ‘Standing Next to You’ has officially crossed 500 million streams on YouTube Music, becoming his fourth song to reach the milestone on the platform.
The track now joins ‘Seven’ featuring Latto, “3D” featuring Jack Harlow, and “Left and Right”, his collaboration with Charlie Puth, in Jungkook’s growing list of songs with more than half a billion plays.
‘Standing Next to You’ Keeps Going Strong
Released as the main track from Jungkook’s first solo album, “Golden,” “Standing Next to You” showed a different side of the singer with its retro funk sound and performance-heavy style.
The song made an impressive start on the charts, debuting at No.5 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also reached No.1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts.
Over in the UK, the track landed at No.6 on the Official Singles Top 100.
Its success has continued long after its release. Along with its latest YouTube Music milestone, “Standing Next to You” has also collected 1.5 billion streams on Spotify.
From Vegas Back to Korea
The milestone comes as Jungkook continues group activities with BTS. He returned to South Korea on Monday after BTS performed at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, where the group took the stage for the first time at the festival in 6 years.
BTS performed four songs during their set, marking another major stage for the 7 members as they continue their latest chapter together.
With four songs now sitting above 500 million streams on YouTube Music, “Standing Next To You” proves that Jungkook’s Golden era is still shining years later.
