It’s only been a few months since BTS (방탄소년단) kickstarted their “ARIRANG” world tour, but the K-Pop icons are already breaking records! Billboard recently reported that the group topped their Top Tours chart, beating a previous record set by the legendary The Rolling Stones.
Earlier this week, Billboard released their Top Tours chart, announcing that BTS had taken the top spot for the second month in a row. According to figures reported to the Billboard Boxscore, BTS grossed US$127.8 million (approximately RM523 million) between 2nd and 28th May 2026. The seven-member group reportedly sold 641,000 tickets with just 12 shows.

With this new number, the group achieved the biggest month gross by a group since the chart’s launch in 2019. BTS also reportedly broke The Rolling Stones’ seven-year record of US$95 million (approximately RM388 million), which the English rock band set in August 2019 with their “No Filter” tour.
This entry also marks BTS’ fourth month at first place on the Top Tours chart. The group previously led the chart in May 2019, April 2022 and April 2026. Interestingly, only five other acts have topped the charts more times than BTS since 2019: Bad Bunny (9), Beyoncé (7), Coldplay (7), Elton John (7) and Trans-Siberian Orchestra (5).
Of course, this is only the beginning for BTS. The group’s “ARIRANG” tour continues its run with more shows scheduled every month for the rest of the year. The tour will run until March 2027, for a current total of 88 shows across 23 countries. While it’s still far from completion, “ARIRANG” is already the group’s biggest tour to date.

BTS will also bring the tour to Malaysia, performing at TM Stadium Nasional on 12th and 13th December 2026 (Saturday and Sunday). Tickets for both shows, including restricted view seats, sold out within hours. Notably, there were reportedly over a million people in the queue during the ticket sale.
Congratulations to BTS on their latest achievement. We can’t wait to see what other impressive records they’ll set with their world tour.
