This year’s Raya celebrations have been pretty eventful. Not only did we get tons of new music from local artists, we also got to see our favourite celebs looking fabulous in their wonderful Raya OOTDs. We’ve obviously seen many fun moments when people post about their visits to open houses.
Speaking of open houses, imagine if one of your guests is someone really important. Anyone of us would be nervous about inviting someone famous to our open house. Chef Zam must’ve been freaking out when the Sultan of Terengganu paid him and his family a visit.
Recently, celebrity chef Dato Chef Zam had the honour of welcoming the Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, and his wife Sultanah Nur Zahirah to his home in Shah Alam, Selangor to celebrate the Raya celebrations together. “I’m truly humbled and honoured to have welcomed the arrival of His and Her Majesty,” he captioned the post on his Instagram.
In the post above, the Malaysian celeb made sure to give his Royal guests the best treatment possible. The Sultan and Sultanah even decided to go casual for the occasion as they did not dress formally nor were there any strict protocols during their visit.
In a follow-up post, it seems that everyone had a splendid time and netizens were even surprised to see how humble the Sultan and his wife are as they helped themselves to the buffet without the assistance of their security. Of course, as the host, Chef Zam recommended his best dishes made sure to serve his guests.
It appears that Sultan Mizan and Sultanah Nur Zahirah really enjoyed their visit as they sent over a large gift to the celebrity chef as a way to show their appreciation. Chef Zam posted an unboxing video on his Instagram to share the content inside with his fans.
Much to his delight, the box was filled with delicious Lavand gourmet chocolates. “May God always bless His Majesty Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin and Her Majesty Sultanah Nur Zahirah,” the father-of-one thanked the Royal couple. Who knows, perhaps he’ll have another Royal family visit him during the next Raya celebrations.
