What better way to balik kampung this Hari Raya than to listen to some awesome tunes while you’re on the road? Every year, we look forward to our Malaysian singers delivering some cheerful or emotional Raya songs to get us in the Raya mood. And deliver those songs, they did.
Here are some of the newly-released songs by our talented local artist to get you in the Hari Raya spirit:
1. Iskandar PB, Iss Arffan, Dzivy, Syaz Wani, NaKie, Ekmal – Gembira Raya
Let’s kick off this list with a Raya song that features many new young talents! According to the soon-to-debut girl group Dzivy, the inspiration behind the song is the importance of family. The members told us, “Sometimes, we have problems with our family members and loved ones so we hope that this song can fix and strengthen that bond with our family and friends.”
Fun Fact(s):
- “Gembira Raya” was co-written by Dzivy members Dyana and Elle.
- Dzivy also choreographed the dance scene on the day of the MV shoot itself. Talk about talent!
2. P.RADHI – Salam Hari Raya
P. Radhi, the man who is known for his P. Ramlee covers is out with a new Raya song. According to the singer, the song is about remembering the true meaning of Hari Raya and celebrating the festivity to your heart’s content. “Eid is a day of victory and a day of greatness for Muslims who successfully survived the challenges of Ramadan. Despite our hardships, we shouldn’t be sad on this special day. We have to celebrate Eid happily,” he shared.
Fun fact(s):
- P.Radhi hopes to film a grander version of the “Salam Hari Raya” music video if the opportunity arises.
3. Wany Hasrita, Muna Shahirah & Wani Syaz – Wira Raya
What’s better than 1 amazing vocalist? 3 amazing vocalists! Wany Hasrita, Muna Shahirah, and Wani Syaz team up to serve us vocals and visuals with their new single “Wira Raya”. To hard to resist getting up and dancing with your loved ones during the special occasion .

4. Elizabeth Tan – Raya Cun
Leave it to Elizabeth Tan to remind us of the joy of waking up on the first day of Raya! “The song is about the thrill and environment of the morning of Raya. We incorporated everything people love about the festivity in the music video such as ‘duit raya’, ‘baju raya’, and more,” she said.
Fun Fact(s):
- This is Lizzy’s first-ever original Raya song and we’re super impressed.
5. Aina Abdul – Berkunjung Di Hari Raya
Aina Abdul never fails to amaze us with her vocals and unique outfits. Back with her new song “Berkunjung Di Hari Raya”, the songstress combines both old school and new school in the music video as she walks us through time to showcase all the Hari Raya celebrations throughout the eras.
Fun Fact(s):

6. Iman Troye, Dalia Farhana, Fimie Don & LAYKA – Ria Raya
The best thing about Raya is that you don’t have to spend it alone. This collab between 4 talented local artists proves that Hari Raya is better when celebrating it together with friends and family. The music video also reminded us how much we miss the kampung atmosphere.
7. Diana Danielle – Senandung Raya
It’s been arduous few months for Diana Danielle but that doesn’t mean she’ll be spending the festivities pondering the past. The singer-actress gives us a new Raya track in a totally different genre than what most people are used to. The music video of the groovy-funky “Senandung Raya” not only reminds us about the Raya atmosphere but also the beauty of our multicultural country.
Fun Fact(s):
- Although Diana struggles with the Malay intonations of the song, she hopes that fans can still enjoy the song and the meaning behind it.
8. Dato’ Jamal Abdillah – Rindu Di Hari Lebaran
Dato Jamal Abdillah still got it. The veteran singer blessed our ears once again with his new Raya song “Rindu Di Hari Lebaran”. Unlike the other songs on this list, “Rindu Di Hari Lebaran” is probably one of the few ones that feature classical instruments that you’d normally hear in a classic Raya song; very fitting for a legend like Jamal himself.
9. Usop, Apek Tajudin, Iqmal Romi & Luqman Faiz – Raya Menjelma
Presenting to you, an all-male singers collaboration this festive season. “Raya Menjelma” took us back in time with its classic-rock vibes where the lyrics talk about celebrating the festivities together with loved ones. As if the song isn’t enjoyable enough, the 4 artists gave fans a music video that also doubles as a short film.
10. Faizal Tahir – Santai Raya
Featuring the only Raya remix on this list. Veteran singer Faizal Tahir decided to release a Hari Raya version of his song “Santai”, which was first released back in September last year! The “Santai Raya” remix is, of course, just as catchy as the original and incorporated a more traditional Raya instrumental.
Those who have had experiences in a chaotic balik kampung journey can definitely relate to the music video.
11. Andi Bernadee & Ryan Bakery – Raya Last Minit
Who can forget the chaos of last year’s Hari Raya? All the last-minute preparations after announcements were made the night before the celebrations had us all overwhelmed and exhausted. If you’re feeling the deja vu again, at least now there’s a song to jam to.
According to Ryan, “Raya Last Minit” is exactly what the title suggested. “We’re sure many people can relate to the song as we’ve all been there when it comes to last-minute preparations,” he said.
Fun Fact(s):
- This is Ryan’s first ever Raya song to be released.
- The music video was sponsored by Snickers.
12. Tajul, Wany Hasrita, Afieq Shazwan, Muna Shahirah, Tuah Adzmi & Wani Syaz – Terpaling Di Hari Raya
Ending this list with a song that’s giving us classic Raya vibes: 3 male artists and 3 female artists join forces and they totally lived up to the song’s title “Terpaling Hari Raya” by reminding us of the joy of celebrating Hari Raya. We don’t know about you but this song will definitely keep us in the Raya spirit for the rest of the month.
