A delivery rider’s job can be extremely dangerous as some of them have to go through difficult terrain, brave storms and floods, and even risk their own safety to save another person’s life. Others have also shared that they received strange orders from customers.
Speaking of strange incidents, this rider definitely had a terrifying experience of delivering an order to a cemetery in the dead of night. Here’s what happened:

Recently, a Lalamove rider posted on the Lalamove Malaysia Facebook group to share their story of how they had to deliver a customer’s food order at an unexpected location. Much to their horror upon arrival, the address given was actually a cemetery. “I called the customer asking if this was the right address cause I was in front of the cemetery’s gates.” The customer confirmed that it was the right location.
While still on the call, the rider wanted assurance from the customer that this wasn’t a prank. The person on the phone reassured the rider that they were not ghosts nor was it a prank and even waved around a torchlight to signal the rider where they were. Despite knowing that his customer was real, the rider still found it suspicious as to why they were at the cemetery late at night.
Much to the rider’s surprise (and relief?), the customers were apparently a group of gamblers who wanted to gamble in a quiet area away from the public and the police. The gamblers explained that the cemetery was peaceful and that they wouldn’t be bothering anyone. The post went viral on both Facebook and Twitter where netizens commented how amused they were by the story.

It is currently unknown if the story itself was recent but whatever the case is, we’re glad that the Lalamove rider was left unharmed from that experience.
