Chris Evans, who plays one of America’s most patriotic superhero, has criticised President Donald Trump on Twitter for playing down the coronavirus.
Trump was recently discharged from the hospital after being tested positive for Covid-19, to which he tweeted, “Don’t be afraid of Covid, Don’t let it dominate your life.”

The Marvel film star, on the other hand, had something else to say. He responded to the president saying, “Don’t be afraid of Covid?! You’ve been under round-the-clock care by the best doctors using the best drugs. Do you really think everyone has access to that?!”
The actor went on to call out the president’s ignorance and recklessness, “Sadly, I’m sure you’re aware of that disparity, you just don’t care.” To which the 39-year-old continued, “This is reckless to a shocking degree, even for you.”

Trump’s tweet somehow ignores the fact that the Covid-19 pandemic has killed more than 200,000 Americans in the US alone. The controversial figure was recently discharged from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after testing positive for the virus, to which he returned straight to the White House.
Nevertheless, this isn’t the first time Evans called out Trump on Twitter. Previously, the Captain America actor slammed the US president for fleeing the press and also blasted him for misspelling a word.

In spite of that, Evans is able to display great patriotism for his country not only through his character, Captain America, but also off-screen.
As of now, the United States of America has the highest number of confirmed Covid-19 cases (7,305,270).
