Looks like there will be a third Sherlock Holmes movie coming our way!
While we’re busy worshipping Robert Downey Jr. as the perfect embodiment of Tony Stark and Iron Man, we forget that he also totally nailed it as Sherlock Holmes.
The 52-year-old actor starred in Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes (2009), alongside Jude Law as Dr. Watson. The movie achieved phenomenal success at the box office, and did well to set up for a sequel. The sequel, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, also achieved commercial success.
If you’re one of those people who are eagerly waiting for the third instalment of a Robert Downey Jr Sherlock flick, you’re in luck. In a recent interview with EW, Robert Downey Jr. revealed that he’s looking at a third Sherlock Holmes movie.

“First of all, the missus is front and center with Joe Roth producing Doolittle. I’m having a good time, though I decided to give myself, like, 40 additional challenges, like a Welsh accent – which even Welsh people say is hard to do.” Downey said.
“Then there’s all this stuff down the pike. We’re looking at another Sherlock Holmes, we’re developing Perry Mason for HBO. I still want to do Pinocchio. I have a million ideas, but I can tell you the God’s honest truth. Having done Avengers 3 and 4 back-to-back, and now doing [Doolittle] … When I’m done with this, if you hear I’m not taking a break, call me and tell me I’m crazy.” said the actor.
