G-Dragon’s album is finally here.
Earlier this morning (Thursday, 8th June), YG Entertainment announced that the BIGBANG leader will be proceeding with his album release despite recent events surrounding fellow member T.O.P. Now, we finally have the music video for “Untitled, 2014 (무제 [無題])”.
The album is comprised of 5 parts: the intro, act 1 to 3, and the outro. Songs included are “권지용 (Middle Fingers-Up)”, “Bullshit (개소리)”, “Super Star”, “Untitled, 2014 (무제 [無題])”, and lastly, “Divina Commedia (신곡 [神曲])”.
Although “Bullshit” was announced as the title track at the beginning of June, the label has changed it to “Untitled, 2014”. The company has also described the song as a “slow-tempo track that sings of longing for a love to return after a breakup”.
No explanation was given for the switch but observers that speculating that it’s because of T.O.P’s marijuana scandal and medicinal drug overdose. G-Dragon will also be releasing the album without promoting it.
The music video for “Untitled, 2014”, which is stripped down, is an extremely touching affair. It shows the leader singing emotionally while looking sentimentally at the camera. The dimmed colours in the music video also successfully evoked emotions from us :'(
YG Entertainment also informed fans that the artiste will be proceeding with his world tour, “ACT III, M.O.T.T.E (Moment Of Truth The End)“, which kicks off this Saturday (10th June in Seoul. Singapore as well as Bangkok are included in the list of countries and speculations are rife that G-Dragon will visit Malaysia too.
Although fans can stream the album online from today onwards, the physical copy will only be dropped on 10th June. It will also reach fans in the form of a USB, in contrast to the usual CD format.
