It has been almost 11 years since the first “High School Musical” was released on the Disney Channel.
In memory of their iconic roles, Ashley Tisdale and Lucas Grabeel (who played siblings Sharpay and Ryan Evans in the movie) teamed up for an amazing new rendition of their duet, “What I’ve Been Looking For”. The cover was posted up on Tisdale’s YouTube channel.
Before the duo start their performance, Tisdale explained that many of her fans wanted to see her sing a duet with her onscreen twin brother.
“It’s been 10 years since we sang this song so it was really crazy just thinking what would be the best song to sing with you and this instantly came to mind. I started learning it on the piano and I was instantly taken aback… All of these memories came coming back,” shared Gabreel.
In the video, Tisdale also admitted that she and Gabreel are not close. “We were not close. We were not big friends. We hated each other,” she said while laughing. “After we wrapped, I always had a love for you,” she said.
Aww… aren’t these 2 the cutest twin siblings ever?
We don’t know about you but watching them sing gave us major feels.
