The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is one of the biggest and highly anticipated annual concert events since 1999. Fans from around the world will get the chance to see the biggest and even upcoming artists perform on stage each day for 2 weekends.
This year’s lineup included the biggest acts of today such as Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat and even a surprise reunion performance by K-pop girl group 2NE1. Malaysia’s very own Yuna was also at this year’s Coachella but one netizen questioned why she was there in the first place.

Malaysian singer-songwriter Yuna recently posted on her Instagram of her attending this year’s Coachella event. The singer was not just there to enjoy the music but she was also one of the guest performers for TOKiMONSTA’s show on Sunday (24th April).
Yuna captioned the photo, “Here for a few hours to perform with @tokimonsta. Wore my own merch to @Coachella coz it’s my favourite thing to wear these days💚”. While many of her fans wrote nice and supporting comments for the singer, one netizen wrote, “Coachella during Ramadan?😬🤦♂️,” possibly implying that Yuna shouldn’t have even attended the event.
That netizen’s comment did not go unnoticed however. The singer-songwriter herself replied to the comment saying, “never look down on someone unless you’re helping them up.” The comment was backed up by a few fans telling her she should ignore the hate for that particular netizen and to keep to himself if he has nothing nice to say.
But all seems to be good. The netizen that goes by the username @nas_o didn’t seem taken aback by the songstress’s response and even agreed with her statement by simply replying, “u right! 🤝🙌.” Let this also be a reminder that we shouldn’t assume the worst in people.
Yuna took the stage with TOKiMONSTA later that Sunday evening performing their song “Don’t Call Me”. The “Cigarette” singer also took the opportunity to post a selfie with María Zardoya, the lead singer of American Indie Pop band, The Marias.
