Xander Cage returns!
Vin Diesel announced on Instagram that he is returning to reprise his “XXX” role in a third movie, with filming to start in December. Diesel’s post on Instagram was accompanied by the caption:
“While I was filming XXX, guys on set called me Air Diesel… The time to return has come. Filming starts December in the Philippines.”
The “Fast & Furious” actor originally appeared as the extreme-athlete-turned-government-agent in the 2002 film, which also starred Samuel L. Jackson and Asia Argento. Diesel was originally signed on for the 2005 sequel, “XXX: State of the Union”, but dropped out. His departure led to Ice Cube taking on the lead role as another agent in the XXX program.
Rumours about a third “XXX” supposedly titled “The Return Of Xander Cage” with Diesel has been going on for years. As of now, no further details has been released so stay tuned as we will continue to update this post when news roll in.
Diesel’s next film is “The Last Witch Hunter”, which will hit theatres on October 23rd.
