Malaysian singer-rapper Mimifly has shown no signs of slowing down since her comeback single “Angkat” in December. Following the song’s remarkable success, she went on to release “Serumpun”, her first Hari Raya track. In both the music videos and live performances, she incorporated sign language into the choreography, a move widely praised by fans and the deaf community.
The artist told us she planned to continue this tradition, and she kept her word with the release of her latest single, “Nara”, in collaboration with the “Honor of Kings” mobile game. To raise more awareness of the importance of learning sign language, the singer has teamed up with KFC for a special contest.

Mimifly recently announced a collaboration with KFC Malaysia. It was later confirmed that, in conjunction with International Deaf Awareness Month, she and the fast-food chain will celebrate inclusivity with a special dance challenge for fans.
The video featured the singer alongside two members of the brand’s Community Care team, dancing to a re-recorded version of her song “Serumpun”, with lyrics adapted to reflect the collaboration. Naturally, sign language was incorporated into the choreography. The project not only aims to raise awareness of sign language, but also invites fans to take part in a fun contest with exciting prizes up for grabs. Here’s how to join:
- Record your version of the dance challenge
- Add a short speech in the captions
- Include the hashtag #KFCMimiFlyChallenge before posting on social media

Those who join this contest will stand a chance to win a signed Mimifly x KFC T-shirt and a year of free KFC! What are you waiting for? Learn the choreo and show off your dance moves today. Even if you don’t win, you’ll still be contributing to a much greater cause.
