Many global artists had the privilege of performing on the Coachella stage with the latest headliners being K-pop idol group BLACKPINK. With a name like Coachella, you’ve probably wondered how much it would cost for a Malaysian to experience the festival.

Content creator @ivor_xianz did the math for everyone and posted a video on all her social media to share exactly how much she spent for Coachella. She started the video by sharing the pre-festival preparations. The TikToker spent RM 780 for the travel Visa, RM 4.5k for a return flight ticket, and RM 2.4k for the 3-day Coachella admission tickets. All of this totalled to RM 7,680.

Once the influencer reached the States, she shared the options that people can choose from to go to the festival with the first one being by using the shuttle bus pass (that costs RM821) that takes you around the festival for 3 days from your hotel. The second option would be to rent a car for RM887 a day. Your choice.

As for accommodation, the public figure provided a few options; the festival’s hotel package which will definitely cause a dent in your bank account, or book an Airbnb for RM1,331 for 3 days. Festival food cost would depend on your preferences and affordability but the entrepreneur revealed she spent about RM 887 for the whole 3 days. If you want to buy merch or go on rides, the internet celeb suggested putting aside an extra RM440 just in case.

So how much did she spend in total for the entire Coachella experience? Toward the end of the video, @ivor_xianz revealed that she spent a total of RM 14,789 for the whole trip!

As seen in the screenshots above, netizens were flabbergasted by just how expensive everything was. Some thanked the TikToker for letting them live their dreams vicariously through her as they could never afford to go to the festival.

Other than her Coachella expenses, the YouTuber previously posted a video where she summorised her entire experience at the music festival. “It’s not the best festival but it’s not the worst,” she said before ending the video.
