If there’s one thing Malaysians are passionate about, it’s their love for food. Recently, Malaysian fans of the K-pop group ONEUS (원어스) demonstrated this passion in a heartwarming gesture of hospitality when they catered a spread of local delicacies for the group to experience firsthand during the 2024 ONEUS 2nd World Tour “La Dolce Vita.”
Their recent YouTube video captured the excitement of ONEUS as they dived into the feast ordered. The spread featured a tantalising array of Malaysian favourites, including the iconic nasi lemak, aromatic rendang chicken, and kampung fried rice, alongside a variety of kuih and light snacks like sandwiches and curry puffs.
“I want to taste all of the food, since they prepared it for us,” expressed Hwan Woong (환웅). In the video, the members seemed to have been snacking on Super Ring, a popular Malaysian snack beloved not only locally but also by K-pop girl group BLACKPINK as packs of the snack were spread across their dining table.
Fans flooded social media with overwhelming love and gratitude for ONEUS, their fans and their team, praising them for creating such a memorable experience. Many expressed their hope that more celebrities would have the chance to savour Malaysian cuisine and enjoy the incredible hospitality that Malaysian fans are famous for.
