Owning a house is a significant milestone for many. Some may take decades to achieve this goal, while others are fortunate enough to purchase one (or two) in their twenties. Celebrities are no exception.
Despite a successful acting career, Nabila Huda had been living in an apartment for more than ten years. However, earlier last month, the actress revealed to fans that she had finally moved to a new home. Although she gave a tour of the place while work was still being done, she didn’t explain much about her decision to move—until very recently.
Earlier this week, Nabila Huda posted a video on her Instagram of her moving day. After 12 years of living in a condominium, the actress decided it was time to move and live closer to the ground. “I’ve finally moved to a landed house. I never thought this day would come, nor have I ever had any desire for this type of housing before. Perhaps I was just too comfortable because I prefer small spaces,” she wrote in her caption.
The “Harum Malam” star explained that she made the decision to move after having an epiphany last year and found a house within the same area, about five minutes from her old home. She stated that she originally wanted a one-storey house, but sadly, there were no houses available to buy or rent. Thankfully, the one she found—although a two-storey terrace house—was perfect for her needs: not too big, but certainly an upgrade from her previous unit.
In the video, the 40-year-old gave a brief tour of her new home as movers helped place her belongings and furniture in their designated areas. The public figure revealed that most of the boxes seen in the video contain her wardrobe, adding that she doesn’t own that many things in her apartment unit. After the moving was done, she thanked the movers for their service and wished them a happy iftar.
Fans and friends congratulated the star on her new home and wished her the best for this new chapter in her life. Others are looking forward to seeing an official house tour once she’s fully settled in.
