What’s better than the last working day of the week? An ice cream-filled Friday!

The annual #UberIceCream is back, and this time, Uber Malaysia will work together with several popular ice cream parlours throughout the country to provide customers with everyone’s favourite dessert this Friday (15th July).

With 400 over cities participating, #UberIceCream is the largest Uber event of the year, and it promises to deliver ice cream to the doorsteps of users from a total of 5 cities in Malaysia. More specifically, Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Johor Bahru, Ipoh, and Penang.

Wanna know what delectable dessert awaits you? Here are some details.

  • For those residing in Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru, local artisanal ice cream parlour The Inside Scoop will offer 2 cups of unique flavoured ice cream: the Onde Onde and Valrhona chocolate with white truffle. Each set, priced at RM15, will include both ice creams.
  • For those residing in Kota Kinabalu, ice cream store Taluwang will deliver 5 sticks of aiskrim potong to you for only RM1!
  • For those residing in Penang, coconut ice cream experts Sangkaya will deliver 1 cup of original coconut and 1 cup of chokoko ice cream each, for RM15. Meanwhile, residents in Ipoh will be able to enjoy the same promotion for only RM1.

Not sure how to order? First things first, make sure that you have an updated Uber application on your smartphone and a working account for you to sign in to. After that, just fire up your app, sign in, and you’ll be guided through the process.

However, take note that you’ll only be able to order the frosty desserts from 11am onwards, and each successful request will only grant you one set of ice cream! And no, you don’t have to take an Uber ride to enjoy this promotion.

While you’re enjoying the ice cream party, don’t forget to snap a photo and upload them on social media with the hashtag #UberIceCream! Uber will be streaming the best pictures on their platform too, so you might even get a chance to be featured 😉

This will mark Malaysia’s 2nd participation in the event, with users from Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, and Penang enjoying the promotion for the 1st time last year.
