To answer this question, experts at livefootballtickets.com conducted a survey of 3,580 people to find out which sport has the most attractive sports stars.

Rugby and football’s long-standing rivalry continues! Though the World Cup buzz had tapered down after a few weeks, it appears that many football stars have left fans wanting more, with Football only narrowly defeating Rugby by 12 votes to be named the most attractive sport! Celebrities in their own right, Jack Grealish and Mason Mount are undoubtedly among those influencing the vote, as they are not just quick on the ball but also appealing to the eye. Similarly, gorgeous female footballers such as Aston Villa attacker Alisha Lehman and Manchester United standout Adriana Leon are also causing many to drool.

Ranking in 3rd position is Basketball, with 9.53% of the votes. This is thanks to the abundance of men that fit the tall, dark and handsome criteria, like Sterling Brown, Blake Griffin, and of course, Kendall Jenner’s boyfriend, Devin Booker. For women, basketball is ranked as one of the top five most attractive sports obtaining 11.10% of the votes, while the men had 4.43% less votes.

If you enjoy watching muscular men battle one other, you are not alone; the sport is placed fourth with 6.76% of the votes. Boxers are famed for their action-packed ring fights and their all-important rapid reflexes, which historically give them a muscular physique, so it’s no surprise that fans are hyperventilating. Despite recent concerns involving his sportsmanship, Anthony Joshua, with his chiselled abs and muscular arms, undoubtedly has a slew of fans.

Known for their great physique and extraordinary flexibility, gymnasts are the full package! Gymnastics garnered 6.12% of the votes, ranking fifth. Many people find them extremely attractive thanks to their amazing figures and graceful movements. With athletes such as Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Max Whitlock, and Nile Wilson, the sport is regarded as one of the top ten most appealing sports in the world. Gymnastics for women receives only 1.86% of the votes, despite being the most appealing sport for males (13.74%).

However, all of this is subjective, and it varies with age. For example, while football is ranked in first place for women, the results show that women aged from 31-55+ chose rugby as the most attractive sport. This could be due to the buzz around the World Cup, which has grown significantly in popularity among the younger generation, hence why it is ranked higher among women ages 18-30.

On the other hand, men aged from 18-55 voted Gymnastics as the most attractive sport, while men over the age of 55 ranked figure skating as the most attractive sport. This can be due to the special emphasis on femininity and appearance in women’s gymnastics, which earned them the first spot in many of our hearts.
