LEGO Celebrates Spain’s World Cup Glory With Exclusive “Champions Edition” Trophy Set

Fresh off Spain’s thrilling victory over Argentina in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final at MetLife Stadium, LEGO is immortalizing La Roja’s golden moment in brick-built form. Building on the massive success of its life-sized sports display series, the Danish toy titan has officially unveiled the LEGO FIFA World Cup™ Official Trophy – Champions Edition (Set #4000351).

Designed explicitly to honor the newly crowned world champions, this updated 2,845-piece replica transforms the world’s most recognized sports prize into an ultra-exclusive collector’s piece.

Maintaining the exact 1:1 scale of the standard trophy set released earlier in the spring, the Champions Edition stands over 36 cm (14.5 inches) tall and recreates the sweeping, metallic-gold curves of the 18-karat gold original designed by Silvio Gazzaniga. However, this special release weaves bespoke design details directly into the build to pay tribute to the 2026 tournament victors:

Updated Championship Plaque: The dual-ringed black base features a revised, laser-engraved golden plaque that officially records Spain’s 2026 victory alongside the roster of historic tournament champions.

The Hidden Podium Interior: True to LEGO’s love for Easter eggs, the globe top hinges open to reveal an updated interior display scene. Replacing the generic stadium motif from the original release, the Champions Edition features a micro-scale confetti podium built in Spain’s iconic red and yellow hues.

Bespoke Packaging: The set arrives in specialized, collector-grade black box packaging adorned with a foil-stamped Spanish Football Federation crest and a commemorative lid wrapped in La Roja’s national color gradient.

In a decision that has already sent shockwaves through the global football and brick-building communities, LEGO is keeping this release strictly regional. To prevent mass commercial reselling and preserve the set as a genuine victory token for local fans, the brand has locked the release behind a strict geographical gate.

Retail Price: €199.99 EUR (reflecting a slight €20 premium over the standard €179.99 baseline model).

Official Release Date: Ships officially on October 1, 2026, with advance pre-orders open now.

The Catch: The set is strictly available via LEGO.com Spain and select flagship LEGO Stores in Madrid and Barcelona. Pre-orders strictly require a valid Spanish shipping address, and sales are capped at a rigid limit of one set per household.

For international collectors looking to add the ultimate piece of 2026 tournament memorabilia to their shelves, securing this regional tribute will likely require navigating secondary markets—where resale values are already projected to surge well past the retail mark.
