Tissot PRC 100 Solar: Where Light Powers Life

For over 170 years, Tissot has been creating exquisite timepieces that have adorned the wrists of generations of discerning consumers. Each era of the Swiss luxury brand has been an exercise in pushing the boundaries of both art and technology, all wrapped in a tiny form factor.

As Tissot gears up to unveil a new line of timepieces, watch aficionados will be set on a new path filled with revolutionary designs and concepts that have never been seen before.

Introducing the new Tissot PRC 100 Solar technical timepiece, the latest chronograph meant to redefine the accessory as we know it.

One of its key features is undoubtedly the aforementioned PRC 100 Solar, the literal heart of the entire device that transforms light into its main source of fuel.

The watch’s Lightmaster Solar technology is an engineering marvel, able to capture both natural and artificial light and convert it into a source of energy. Unlike conventional solar-powered watches that use visible photovoltaic panels beneath the dial, the PRC 100 Solar, instead, integrates its light-capturing mechanism beneath the sapphire crystal for an elegant and simplistic design.

Furthermore, this system is so potent that it can still operate properly despite minimal exposure to light.

What makes the PRC 100 Solar tick is the microscopic honeycomb-structured solar cells that absorb whatever light they can get. The energy is then transferred to power the F06.615 Quartz Swiss Made movement, an expertly-crafted system that is well-known for its exceptional precision.

Furthermore, any energy surplus retained is stored in a rechargeable accumulator, which allows it to operate in the darkness for up to 14 months on a full charge. Even if the timepiece is exposed to daylight for only 10 minutes, it is still enough to provide a 24-hour battery life, creating a truly sustainable timepiece.

We're Going Full Floral With Swatch's BLOSSOM TIME Spring Collection!

In the event that the PRC 100 Solar is running out of steam, the End of Energy indicator signal will shift the second hand to four-second intervals to remind you that it is in need of a charge. Once it starts absorbing light, the movement will return to its natural rhythm, a living testament to precise Swiss engineering.

To underscore how at home the PRC 100 Solar is in low-light conditions, its hands and indexes are coated with Super-LumiNova for easier nighttime viewing.

With a 10-bar water-resistant stainless-steel case, the PRC 100 Solar is the perfect accessory for any adventurer. By merging solar technology and Swiss precision into a tiny package, Tissot ensures that life will keep moving as sure as the sun will shine.

Tissot’s dedication to long-lasting performance is demonstrated by the PRC 100 Solar’s three-year warranty, which goes above and beyond the standard guarantee to further ensure its longevity and dependability.
