Christmas is coming, and if you’re struggling to get the perfect present, then why not peruse these stunning timepieces we’ve sleuthed out for you?

From a creation marking an auspicious event, to a dazzling work sure make watch enthusiasts green with envy, here are some illustrious pieces set to be the talk of the town.

IWC’s Limited-Edition Portofino Automatic Moon Phase 37 Year Of The Snake

Everyone is doing their part to prepare for Chinese New Year, so the last thing you want to be is out of style for the auspicious occasion. If you’re in the market to not only look but feel good, then why not try out IWC’s Limited-Edition Portofino Automatic Moon Phase 37 Year of the Snake?

Much like its Year of the Dragon counterpart, this festive timepiece features a distinctly regal burgundy and gold colour palette made to bring out the luck of all those who wear it. More specifically, this deep red colour is highlighted in the entirety of the watch’s dial in a peerlessly smooth surface, disturbed only by the gold details and the moonphase complication.

What makes this time-teller tick is the 32800 in-house calibre, allowing for precise movements down to the last twitch. You can view how it works through the open sapphire caseback, where you can see the titular snake that has been hand-engraved to coil around the mechanisms of the piece. Rounding out the build is a leather strap available in black or matching burgundy calkskin strap.

Limited to only 500 units, IWC’s Limited-Edition Portofino Automatic Moon Phase 37 Year of the Snake is retailing for CHF8,600 (~RM43,128) and can be purchased via the IWC website.

Czapek × Fratello Promenade Transparencies “Viridian Green”

Independent Swiss watchmaker Czapek has partnered with Fratello, with whom is has a shared history of creating absolutely glorious timepieces. The two brands are back at it again to bring us something truly mesmerising. Introducing the Promenade Transparencies “Viridian Green.”

The reference, drenched in its namesake colour, proudly showcases its proprietary SXH7.1 skeletonised movement through an openworked sapphire dial that is tinted green fumé, producing a captivatingly subtle gradient effect. The watch face, which is housed in a 38mm stainless steel case, features skeleton hands, luminous applied indices, and a small seconds subdial at four o’clock.

Although it looks fragile, the time-teller can withstand submersion of up to 50 metres, and its movement promises a 60-hour power reserve. The watch is matched with a green woven Cordura strap that complements its colour scheme.

With only 50 units available, the limited-edition Czapek × Fratello Promenade Transparencies “Viridian Green” retails for €32,000 (~RM149,132). You can pre-order one for yourself via Fratello’s website.
