Timelessness Is Redefined With Nivada Grechen’s Stunning F77 Wristwatches

There are a few things in this world that never go out of style, and Nivada Grechen’s F77 wristwatch is proof of that.

The iconic Swedish watchmaker has brought back its bestselling timepiece from the ‘70s, but has given it an all-new look.

Being resurrected for the modern era, the F77 line is now built in Grade 5 titanium, giving it a more prestigious appeal while also making it lighter — weighing only 86 grammes compared to its steel predecessor of 126 grammes.

Because of this design change, the timepiece has more resistance to scratches and corrosion, making it a viable timepiece for those who want to maintain a sporty lifestyle.

Though it originally debuted almost 50 years ago, the F77 has been faithfully recreated to its classic proportions, from its 37mm case size to its folding clasp. The watch was carefully and precisely made by Nivada Grechen, a trait that has been consistent in all their works, past and present.

However, aside from the changes made to the case, the watch also comes in four new mesmerising dials: “Meteorite,” “Anthracite,” “Aventurine,” and “Lapis Lazuli.” These rare stones add a splash of colour in the most elegant way possible.

Enhanced with a fragment of material from space, the subtle cracks and shimmer of a meteorite create an air of eternity. The raised textures of stone have been carefully milled to fit the F77 chassis with extreme precision while also leaving their raised textures and patterns that catch the light.

Each meteorite F77 is unique, as no two dials are alike. This limited-edition timepiece is a pre-order exclusive.

Similarly, the “Lapis Lazuli” variation of the F77 features an acute blue hue.

This ornamental stone has been used in everything from mosaics to decorative art. Its intricate design is the result of an equally dynamic process that occurred deep beneath the earth’s surface, and, like the meteorite, lapis lazuli can withstand aeons without losing its lustre.

“Aventurine” emanates a more mystical charm that is as hypnotic as it is intense. This version features a shade of blue so deep that it seems green, akin to that of the deep ocean.

It was created through a drastic crystallisation that took an epoch to form. Aventurine comes from the Italian word “a ventura,” meaning “by chance,” but that is a story for another time.

For those seeking out the classic, then look no further than Nivada Grechen’s “Anthracite” design.

This design embodies the spirit of the original, featuring a baset-weave, pattered dial. The advanced material used in its case and bracelet complements the deep and moody colour of its dial, which is slightly lighter than black and has cool undertones of blue and purple.

The Nivada Grechen F77 will be available for purchase on 25th April, but you can pre-order on 19th April on their official website.
