If you’re someone who loves a classic watch with a modern touch, Longines has something new to offer! The Swiss luxury watchmaker has expanded its Spirit collection with four new timepieces for 2026, bringing a fresh blue look to its aviation-inspired designs.
The latest collection introduces two Longines Spirit Pilot watches and two Spirit Pilot Flyback chronographs, featuring matt blue dials, stainless-steel cases and a choice of metal bracelets or blue rubber straps.
Inspired by nearly a century of aviation history, the new releases combine Longines’ traditional watchmaking with modern features, making them suitable for both everyday wear and special occasions.
A Fresh Blue Took For The Spirit Collection
The Longines Spirit Collection was first introduced in 2020 as a tribute to the explorers and pilots who helped shape aviation history.
Over the years, Longines has been associated with famous aviation pioneers, including Amelia Earhart, Elinor Smith, and Richard Byrd, creating watches designed for precision and reliability.
For 2026, the brand is giving its Spirit Pilot and Spirit Pilot Flyback models a new look with matt blue dials, silver-toned hands and clear Arabic numerals.
All four watches are also COSC-certified chronometers, meaning their movements have been independently tested for accuracy.
Longines Spirit Pilot: A Classic Watch With A Modern Touch
First introduced in 2025, the Longines Spirit Pilot returns with a new blue design that keeps its classic pilot-watch style.
The watch features a 39mm stainless-steel case with a matt blue dial, silver-toned hands and easy-to-read numbers. Its simple design makes it suitable for those who prefer a clean and timeless look.
Inside, the watch runs on the Longines-exclusive L888.4 automatic movement, offering up to 72 hours of power reserve. It also features improved magnetic resistance to help maintain accuracy.
The watch is water-resistant up to 100 metres and comes with two strap options: a stainless-steel bracelet with an adjustable folding clasp or a Swiss-made blue rubber strap.

Both options offer a different style, allowing wearers to choose between a classic metal finish or a sportier look.
Spirit Pilot Flyback: a Sportier Design With Advanced Features
For those who prefer something more detailed, the Longines Spirit Pilot Flyback offers a sportier design inspired by traditional aviation instruments.
The new model features a 39.5mm stainless-steel case, measuring 13.4mm thick, with a blue dial and a rotating bezel featuring a blue ceramic insert and countdown timer.
Its silver-toned hands and Arabic numerals are treated with Super-LumiNova, making them easier to read in low-light conditions.

The watch is powered by the Longines-exclusive L792.4 hand-wound movement, which offers up to 68 hours of power reserve.
One of its main highlights is the flyback chronograph function, which allows users to reset and restart the stopwatch with a single action. This feature has a special place in Longines’ history, as the brand helped develop flyback chronograph technology in the early 1930s and filed a patent in 1935.

Like the Spirit Pilot, the Flyback is water-resistant up to 100 metres and comes with either a stainless-steel bracelet or an interchangeable blue rubber strap.
Bringing Aviation History Into Everyday Style
With these four new additions, Longines continues to bring its aviation heritage into modern watchmaking.
The collection combines classic pilot-watch details with updated materials, precise movements and a fresh colour scheme, offering something for those who appreciate both style and performance.

Founded in 1832 in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, Longines has built its reputation around traditional craftsmanship, elegance, and precision.
The new Longines Spirit Pilot and Spirit Pilot Flyback models continue that tradition, bringing a modern look to watches inspired by the history of flight.
