The Height Of Elegance Just Dropped: The MB&F LM FlyingT Onyx

For almost two decades, MB&F (Maximilian Büsser and Friends) has been delivering high-quality wristwatches that are nothing short of dazzling.

Now, they are continuing that legacy of brilliance with the release of the LM FlyingT Onyx, the latest addition to the beloved FlyingT collection.

Beginning in 2019, the LM FlyingT series has been the paragon for feminine timepieces – a dazzling, three-dimensional horological art piece. Since then, MB&F has presented a new iteration featuring a gemstone dial every year.

As mentioned earlier, this year’s version features a sublime onyx dial that boasts a glossy and deep black appearance that exudes an air of simplicity and elegance in equal measure – setting itself apart from the opulent, far brighter models that preceded it.

For those unfamiliar with the series, the first thing that will catch your eye is the vertically tilted dial at 50° with two serpentine hands and exposed gear towering over the watch’s frame. To keep it all intact and protected, the timepiece is sealed in a high domed sapphire crystal cover that is topped off by an anti-reflective coating on both sides.

Despite its simpler, less daring design, the LM FlyingT Onyx is still encased in a sleek, 18k yellow gold case. On the back end is the sun-shaped winding rotor that’s made of 18k red gold, titanium, and platinum, creating a sculptural beauty that you cannot help but behold with amazement.

But it’s what’s behind the sun that makes this watch tick. Designed in-house by MB&F, the piece features an automatic-winding, three-dimensional vertical architecture geared with a central flying 60-second tourbillon and a 100-hour power reserve.

A King Twice Over: The MIDO Multifort 8 Two Crowns!

The overall piece measures 38.5mm in case diameter, including the high domed sapphire crystal case, and it’s all held together by calf or alligator leather straps with a pin buckle that matches the case.

The LM FlyingT Onyx is available for purchase now on MB&F’s official website.
