Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are officially husband and wife!
The Hollywood power-couple exchanged vows in a Western Christian wedding before tying the knot in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur over the weekend.
The grand Hindu wedding took place on the palace grounds, with Mehrangarh Fort as the backdrop. Hindustan Times reported the joyous occasion featured a 40-foot high wedding mandap, or canopy, adorned with red flowers.
Nick’s father, Kevin Jonas Sr., officiated the couple’s Christian wedding. The immediate Jonas family members who were present include his mum Denise Jonas, brothers Kevin Jonas (with his wife Danielle Jonas), Joe Jonas and fiancée Sophie Turner, as well as Frankie Jonas.
The bride looked “breathtaking in her traditional red Indian wedding outfit”, said a source, before adding, “Nick did a beautiful job following the customs of a Hindu ceremony, it was lovely seeing how they honoured both of their heritages.”
It was important for the bride and groom to embrace both Indian and Western wedding traditions. As such, 2 ceremonies were held – as aforementioned, a Christian service officiated by his father who is a pastor, followed by a traditional Indian wedding. Each of those ceremonies were held at different spots within the palace walls.
Hours before they became husband and wife, the duo released the first photos from their Mehendi ceremony. The 36-year-old “Quantico” actress looked gorgeous in a colourful Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla ensemble. Meanwhile, the 26-year-old pop star looked dapper in aqua Bakhiya kurta and churidar.

As per tradition, Nick made his grand entrance arriving on a “ghodi” (a mare/ horse). He and his leading lady then got on an elephant before taking part in the varmala or garland exchange ceremony.

Famous for her roles in “Game of Thrones” and “X-Men”, fans have been complimenting the British actress on her choice of Indian outfits throughout her time in India. During the mehendi function, Sophie wore a pair of big chandelier earrings to pair with her green Anita Dongre lehenga.
