Whenever an artist goes on hiatus, fans are always eager to know when they will return with new material. Some have re-emerged after years of inactivity, while others have remained tight-lipped about their current lives.
One Malaysian rapper caused a stir online when fans noticed his return to social media, sparking speculation that he may be working on new music. So, is he? Here’s what we know so far:

Local rapper Malique has been absent from the entertainment industry for some time. His disappearance became a hot topic in 2019, alongside the “viral” personal photos of him with his family. Earlier this week, fans were surprised to discover that he had launched both an Instagram and a TikTok account under the username @/maliqueibrahimqarma.
The former Too Phat member shared an uncaptioned photo of himself in the studio, leading fans to believe he is preparing for a musical comeback. The subsequent photos showed him alongside other musicians and celebrities, including Amir Jahari and Zizan Razak, in the same studio — Qarma Studio, which he owns.

However, each of his posts on his new Instagram remains uncaptioned, so there is currently no confirmation as to whether the legendary superstar is working on new music for himself or for other artists. Regardless, since opening his new social media accounts, Malique has amassed nearly 100k followers on Instagram and 25k followers on TikTok at the time of writing.
This further demonstrates that fans are still eager to see the icon back in the spotlight, regardless of what he chooses to do. The rapper even trended on Twitter, with many expressing excitement for his upcoming projects, whatever they may be.
What was your reaction when you heard the news? Do you think Malique is working on a comeback?
