TWICE (트와이스) has had a successful year so far, with the release of their new album “THIS IS FOR” and headlining the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago. Of course, each member of the group is also hitting new milestones this year, including member Chaeyoung (채영).
Earlier this month, JYP Entertainment announced that Chaeyoung will make her solo debut this year with a full-length album. Titled “Lil Fantasy”, the project marks a new beginning for the TWICE member in the 10th year of her debut. Here are some fun facts about the project:
Chaeyoung Is The Fourth TWICE Member To Make A Solo Debut

With the announcement of her solo debut, Chaeyoung is officially the fourth member of TWICE to go solo, after Nayeon (나연), Jihyo (지효) and Tzuyu (쯔위). Fans have long waited for her solo debut, noting her creativity and unique ideas. Others also hope that she’ll collaborate with her groupmates for the album and feature them in one of the tracks.
She Has Teased The Project’s Title In The Past

After Chaeyoung announced the album’s title, fans quickly recognised the name as it has made numerous appearances in the past. Fans noted that the phrase “Lil Fantasy” has been spotted on many of Chaeyeon’s personal belongings, including her headphones. A photo from June also shows the singer wearing a necklace with the initial “LF”.
Chaeyoung Has Participated In The Album Production

As shown in the teaser video, the TWICE member did participate in the album’s production. The idol likely participated as a lyricist, given that she had written many of TWICE’s songs, including “Strawberry” and “Sweet Talker”. Fans have also speculated that she’s collaborating with Japan-based band Gliiico and artist Ibuki Sakai based on photos showing them together in a studio.
Her Artwork Is Showcased Throughout The Project

Known for her love for drawing, it’s no surprise that Chaeyoung’s first solo album will include her personal touch. From the logo to the background of the album previews, the idol’s artworks are littered throughout the project. Interestingly, the Canvas version of the physical album also includes a colouring book and coloured pencils, highlighting Chaeyoung’s love for art.
Chaeyoung will make her solo debut on 12th September 2025 (Friday), and album pre-orders have begun from 12th August 2025 (Tuesday). Are you excited for Chaeyoung’s solo debut?
