Reunions are heartwarming no matter how big or small it may be, allowing space for one to reminisce about the good times. Such sentiment can be linked to Super Junior (슈퍼주니어) member, Kim Heechul (김희철) when he posted a selfie on Instagram with ex-member Kim Kibum (김기범).
Kim Heechul took it to Instagram on 15th May 2024 with several pictures of Kibum and himself. The caption read, “Kim Kibum. Heechul’s Hee Kibum’s Bum. That’s why Hee Bum. Idols these days are younger than Hee Bum”.
Surely, the post stirred nostalgia among fans worldwide, setting the social media scene ablaze. The comment section flooded with fans expressing kind wishes, saying that they miss Kibum as he barely goes online.
On another note, a part of the fandom simply thanked Heechul for giving updates about ex-Super Junior members. This reunion also sparked speculations on the possibility that the original Super Junior group of 15 members will reunite. However, no official statements were made as most of the members have lives of their own.
While the picture roamed around platforms by storm, a few netizens pointed out how the two are each other’s best friend even when they were still in a group together. Notably, in 2019, Heechul and Kibum didn’t see each other for almost a decade until they reunited on the show “Some Vival”, leading to Heechul crying on the spot upon seeing his friend in the flesh.
