What more could someone ask forafter making it big in Hollywood, basking in the limelight, and dating some of the industry’s most prominent stars? Jenny Shimizu, a professional model and actress from the ’90s, appeared to have lived that dream.
Known for being openly gay while navigating the star-studded world, Jenny made headlines when news broke of her romantic relationship with actress Angelina Jolie in 1997. More recently, the model revealed she also had a brief but memorable connection with one of pop culture’s most iconic figures, Madonna. Here’s what she shared:

In the new docuseries “In Vogue: The 90s,” Jenny Shimizu reflects on her no-strings-attached relationship with Madonna during the height of the pop icon’s fame. “I mean, you’re not gonna say no to Madonna in the ’90s,” she shared. “You’d get a phone call like, ‘Hey, can you meet me at my Paris show? You’re in Europe, right?’” The 57-year-old, who was modelling at the time, dropped everything to meet Madonna, recalling with humour how she responded, “Yeah, I’m just finishing Prada. Right after Prada, I’ll catch a plane over.” She would then make her way to the Ritz, meet Madonna at 4 a.m., and after spending the night together, fly back to Milan in time for her commitments.
Looking back, the “Foxfire” star joked about how her now-wife, Michelle Harper, might feel about these stories and clarified that her relationship with Madonna was purely physical. “I loved the fact that I was at this woman’s beck and call,” the former Calvin Klein model admitted. “It turned me on, being ordered to her room whenever she felt like having sex,” she concluded.

This new revelation naturally caused a buzz online. Many people expressed their jealousy over how Jenny dated two of Hollywood’s hottest women in the ’90s. Some even asked her for flirting tips, while others were surprised to learn that these iconic figures, like Madonna and Angelina Jolie, were part of the queer community.
