This year’s MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMA) made history as Kanye West snagged the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, followed by his 13-minute long acceptance speech and presidential dreams.
It also dished out a slew of memorable performances and some pretty outlandish getups, in true MTV awards style.
The 2015 MTV VMA also saw Nicki Minaj opening the show before, surprise surprise, Taylor Swift aka Tay Tay took the stage to join her with a quick duet of Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood”, officially quashing their “Bad Blood” and effectively leaving the audience speechless. And way before all of that, Tay Tay premiered her much anticipated music video, “Wildest Dreams”, which also left the audience pretty much speechless.
If you haven’t heard it, the Lana Del Rey-esque track is considered one of the most sensual and mature tracks from “1989”, and is pretty much already a fan favourite.
In the music video, Tay Tay can be seen sporting darker, curlier locks, playing a movie star shooting in various exotic locations (oh my goodness is that Africa?!) alongside hunky co-star Scott Eastwood. If the surname “Eastwood” rings a bell, it’s because yup, you guessed it – Scott Eastwood is American actor-director Clint Eastwood’s son.
