Maje has collaborated with Jiayi Li, a Chinese illustrator based in Paris, for their new Lunar New Year capsule collection. Presented in vivid and creative images, much of her work is inspired by modern photography, particularly the hazy effect reminiscent of a dream. For this design, she was inspired by dazzling work from Shanghai Animation Film Studio, such as Havoc in Heaven, A Deer of Nine Colors and more, bringing the iconic brand into the lifelike and poetic scenes of Chinese mythology; and capturing spontaneous moments that occur during the celebration.
