If you didn’t know, K-pop group 82MAJOR (82메이저/에이티투메이저) was recently in town for their first fan meeting in Malaysia. The group commemorated their trip by sharing photos and videos from their time here.
On their official Twitter account, the group have shared several photos of them in KL. Upon their arrival last weekend, members Seongil (조성일) and Seokjoon (박석준) posted pictures of them posing with their promotional banners for their fan meeting. On the other hand, members Seongbin (황성빈) and Dogyun (김도균) shared photos of them posing with the iconic Twin Towers, expressing awe at the Malaysian landmark.
Seongil also shared a few other photos of him, gaining attention for his amusing fashion choice – layering a sarong, or kain pelikat, over his jeans. Many local fans praised his unusual choice of dressing, saying he made the clothing item rather fashionable. Interestingly, it was the singer’s idea to wear the sarong. In an interview with local media, Seongil explained that he wanted to wear something traditional to experience the local culture.
82MAJOR also shared a few videos of them while in Malaysia, including one of them dancing to 3P’s Chinese New Year track, “North-South Expressway (南北大道)”. The video posted on Instagram even attracted the attention of singer Gaston Pong and 3P members Danny Lee and Kevin Ong, who complimented the group’s dance cover. According to their social media, the group also did a press tour where they appeared on several local television broadcasts.
82MAJOR successfully held their fan meeting on 16th February 2025 (Sunday) at the Multi-Purpose Hall at SEGi University. On the same day, they held a press conference at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. The members have since safely returned to South Korea. Their Malaysian fans also gave the group a warm send-off at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport yesterday evening (18th February 2025, Tuesday).
