Back in the day, K-pop idols could only show off their variety show skills on established programmes and broadcasts. However, with the help of YouTube, so many of the biggest K-pop stars now have their own variety shows that everyone can watch for free!

These web series are the perfect addition to your YouTube subscription list, offering tons of laughter and entertainment. Whether you’re looking for something to watch with your friends or something to binge over the weekend, these web series will have you in tears laughing!

GOING SEVENTEEN

What started as a vlog series, where SEVENTEEN (세븐틴) members shared moments from their days, turn into a popular variety show that even non-fans love! “GOING SEVENTEEN” is SEVENTEEN’s weekly variety show, where the members partake various activities depending on the episode’s concept, including completing challenges or role-playing in skits.

All seasons are available on the official SEVENTEEN YouTube channel. New episodes air every Wednesday.

Run BTS

Some of BTS’ (방탄소년단) most viral moments and funniest jokes come from their web series, “Run BTS”. In each episode, the global sensations shed their idol image and partake in various activities, from game show-like challenges to fashion shows. In 2024, as part of the group’s military hiatus, HYBE launched “Run Jin”,  a “Run BTS” spin-off centred on member Jin (진).

Both shows are currently on hiatus, but you can catch up on all episodes until their return on the BANGTANTV and RUN BTS YouTube channels.

Changing Majors

Ever curious about what different university majors have to offer? Well, “Changing Majors” gives you just that – with a K-pop twist! The ootb Studio web series features the season’s host as they go through a day of student life in South Korea’s universities and schools, experiencing each course and class with hilarious outcomes.

The show’s current host is EXO’s Kai (엑소 카이), but the previous seasons were hosted by BTOB’s Changsub (비투비 창섭). You can watch all the seasons of the show on ootb Studio’s YouTube Channel, with new episodes out every Thursday.

ZIP DAESUNG

It’s no surprise that BIGBANG (빅뱅) member and veteran variety show idol Daesung (대성) has his own show on YouTube. While the show focuses on the singer chatting with his guests, some episodes showcase him engaging in fun activities, like challenging fellow idols to a game of tennis or setting up a pop-up cafe for his fans.

New episodes air every Friday on the ZIP DAESUNG YouTube channel.

TIME TO TWICE

Renowned girl group TWICE (트와이스) are funnier than you’d think – just let their “TIME TO TWICE” web series prove it! In this variety show, the girl group engage in a range of fun activities, including indoor playgrounds and childhood games. The show also recently introduced a spin-off show featuring members Jeongyeon, Jihyo and Nayeon, set at a Korean bathhouse.

New episodes of the show air every Friday on the official TWICE YouTube channel.
