Have you seen Dory? That seems to be the question of the day with the release of 4 new posters for Disney-Pixar’s “Finding Dory”.

These stunning posters feature amazing seascapes of the underwater world including a jellyfish forest, a group of stingrays, and a coral reef. Each poster asks viewers to spot the forgetful blue tang fish. She’s fairly easy to spot given the fact that she isn’t trying hard to be invisible. Peekaboo Dory!

“Finding Nemo” was a worldwide smash when it came out in 2003, earning an Oscar for “Best Animated Feature” and was Pixar’s third-highest grossing film. “Finding Dory” was originally scheduled for release in September 2015 but the studio made plans to changed the ending of the sequel due to the depiction of a marine park in the film.

“Finding Dory” sends Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres) on an epic adventure to find herself. A distressing incident triggers Dory’s memory and it hits her that she has a family and she needs to get there to see them again. Thus, begins her journey from the Great Barrier Reef all the way to the Monterey Marine Life Institute in California.

Joining Dory on her quest are of course, Nemo and his father Marlin. Along the way, they meet a bunch of new friends like Hank the cantankerous octopus (voiced by Ed O’Neill), Bailey the misguided beluga whale (voiced by Ty Burrell), and Destiny the kind-hearted whale shark (voiced by Kaitlin Olsen) who thinks she’s an actual shark.

“My character isn’t great at his own sonar capability, and Destiny has trouble swimming straight,” Burrell told Entertainment Weekly. Olsen added, “We totally get on each other’s nerves. I like to think I’m a shark, but Bailey calls me a whale, and I make fun of his head, because it’s gigantic.”

Co-starring Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton as Dory’s parents Charlie and Jenny, the “Finding Nemo” sequel also features Albert Brooks, Dominic West, Michael Sheen, and Idris Elba.

Alexander Gould, who originally voiced Nemo, won’t be reprising the role. Producer Lindsey Collins cited his age (he’s 22 years old) as the reason. Instead, his role has been replaced by newcomer Hayden Rolence.

It has been 13 years since “Finding Nemo” was released and fans are eagerly waiting to see if the underwater environments have improved for “Finding Dory”. Although these new movie posters do not reveal anything much about the plot, it is still fun to see the spotlight on our favourite blue tang fish.

“It’s hard to find that balance of very sweet, very funny and great adventure in a story,” said Burrell. “There’s however always a deeper message with Pixar, and so much of it (in “Finding Dory”) is that these characters are trying to find faith in themselves.”

Christopher Thomas shared on Facebook how “Finding Nemo” helped him overcome a very difficult patch in his life saying, “At the time I was fighting for custody of my son and to me the movie was about a father who would not be stopped by anything including his own fears. I don’t know if it was intended to be that way but it left me in tears many times and when I think about it now I get that lump in my throat.

“My point, that I was in a similar position. And had to fight for my son. Can’t tell you how many times I had to tell myself to just keep swimming. I actually sing it to myself or hear it in Ellen voice. It was and is still good advice,” he shared.
